Getting Out, Feeling Free..((OPEN))

[Kiara]

After some hours of a light sleep, the lioness, Kiara, finally opened her eyes, and her vision was immediately met with dim light from the sun creeping through a few small cracks on the rocky wall. She somewhat yawned, standing, and stretching all four of her legs. She shook her head rapidly, knocking off her sleepy state. She silently made her way to the large opening, and into the meadows, making sure she didn't wake, or disrupt any others who might have been sleep still.

Jumping off a few rocks to get to the ground, big and large, she happened to lose her balance on the last one down.

"Whoa..!" She slipped, and hit the ground, landing on her back on the soft grass that swayed slightly in the breeze. Upon making contact, she closed her eyes tightly and let out a yelp. "Ow!!" She sort of shouted. Once she realized she said it so loud, she grew wide eyed, slapping her paws over her mouth.

'Whoops...'

Kiara looked back to where she came, watching for a moment if she woke anyone with her outburst. She waited for a split second before she got to all fours, and sprinted out toward the distance, all the while laughing at herself.

Clearly in the flower filled meadows, Kiara collapsed on the ground, her spontaneous giggling fit fading alittle bit. She rolled over a few times, before stopping on her side. She gazed at a yellow flower that was sticking up at her side. She tilted her head abit as she raised her paw and swatted at it gently. She watched it sway toward the side, and then resume it's normal upright position. She smiled and giggled more, continuing her swatting at the flower, her tail swaying back and fourth rapidly, obviously enjoying herself.

Salki had never found much happiness in playing. No, she did not find happiness in much. Not hunting, not eating, not conversation, not anything. Hell, she didn't even find sadness or any emotion in anything particular. She was just who she was.

Salki... ghost. However, as she watched the well known, and decidingly famous lioness laugh to herself in amusement as she took pleasure in simple things, she wondered to herself if she should pay more attention to such things.

So she did.

...or better worded, noted it for a few seconds and dismissed it outright. Suddenly Kiara burst into giggles as she tumbled. Without another thought on words such as 'happiness' or 'emotions' she stood, revealing herself from the tall grass, something easy for her large muscled bulk was easily revealed. She moved forward, muscles rippling under her thick skin like a smooth war machine.

"Good day," she greeted, for that was how one greeted another right?.. no but Kiara had just fallen. There was another word for it.

"Are you alright?" Salki asked flatly, eyes blank, expression blunt.

At first, not noticing the other being present, Kiara finally gave up on the flower, turning fully on her backside, her eyes deeply penetrating the lighting sky. She inhaled slowly and exhaled sharply as she blinked a few times, before hearing a voice, seemingly nearby the area.

This action kind of caught her off guard with a sudden new voice. She really didn't expect anyone to be out and about at this time.

In a quick manner, Kiara sat up in a sitting position. "Uh...Yes...Er, well...I mean... Im fine.." She cleared her throat and nodded in a greeting way. "'I didn't wake you or...disrupt you in anyway...Did I?" She questioned the lioness before herself, mentally punishing herself for being such a loud mouth.

While waiting for a possible reply, she took the time to take in what this one appeared to be. She shook her thoughts, the image of her, one she wasn't familiar with. Knowing now, she never did get the chance to meet this one.

"No, I just saw you playing and was... curious..." Salki decided.

She said the word curious as if she were testing something new and attempting to get used to it. Normally, she would settle for blank silence at this point that she would find comfortable while others would be annoyed, but instead she went for the dead adventurous part of her.

"Are you Princess Kiara?" she asked in a soft flat voice, forcing all the emotion she could muster in - which didn't exactly amount to much, "I've heard of you. You killed Zira."

Ah, Zira. That was a familiar word...

[Kiara]

"Ah, of course." She smiled brightly at her first statement, though the lioness's voice seemed to carry an unknowing meaning. "But still, sorry for making too much noise. I'll turn it down abit next time." She stated, nodding her head a few times. She knew she had a big mouth, and she always has had one. But, on the good side, she had a heart of a child to balance it.

Upon hearing her second statement, Kiara's smile faded just abit, but was still visible, nevertheless. "Yeah, that's me.." She said in a voice, that sounded like she was not too thrilled. Of course, being princess was great, but it had it's downfalls as well. Like for example, she wouldn't have enough time to play or just to goof off, which she thought was most fun.

And finally, hearing of her last statement, it caught her off guard, even more than before. Zira was a subject she didn't dare to bring up again. Her eyes traveled, and suddenly found an interest in the ground. "Uh...well.." There was no way to curve her way around this one. She remembered that time, when the accident happened. She believed, even though she had a black heart, she had at the least, alittle bit of good in her. But unfortunately, it was never showed.

"..Guilty." She said, looking back up.

[Minane]

Hearing her mellow thoughts confirmed, Salki nodded simply her well built frame still.

"My family... worshipped Scar and Zira in a way," she commented, "I don't know much about them though. They're just another set of lions."

Salki sat down and relaxed, before watching Kiara for a reaction for her next words.

"I used to be an Outlander."

She could hear her mother's words even now. Prideland lions don't like us Outlander. Out mere name - outlanders - is a turn off for them; and no matter what we do, it'll all be the same so just stay away from this prideful snobs. They're too stuck up for their own good!

But the next generation of Prideland lions had liberated the Outlands right? In other words - Kovu and Kiara. Those two lions should be under the protection of both Prides.

Salki's eyes flickered up to trace the fluttering of a butterfly. The spots on its wings resembled eyes.

"It used to be bad for me until we were allowed to enter Prideland territory."

[Kiara]

Kiara nodded her head in a slow manner, taking and processing everything she said. She found it pretty normal in some way, however, since then anyone now could enter in the pride lands. Going back to her previous statement, she connected the dots. "Used to be, huh..? Well, atleast things are different now. It could be worse, with absolutely pointless wars and killings now and then. Im just glad it turned out for the better."

After about just a few short moments of silence, her eyes caught sight of a butterfly, flying freely around the area. That got her thinking. Thinking about how things use to be when she was just a little cub, compared to how different it was now.

Freedom, that was limited. One group was not to cross over to another's territory, and vise versa. And now it seemed like everyone, or anyone, had the freedom they deserved to go wherever.

She just hoped it would stay that way.

Her attention caught, it soon broke away from the butterfly, as well as her memories and thoughts, and was brought back to the lion again, once she made her statement. Kiara blinked. "I could only imagine. Though.......How so? I heard from others, there was less resources, like food or water...something of the sort."

[Minane]

"Horrible," Salki stated our flat, "The swamps are less swamps then they used to be. THe geysers are the only source of water nearby, and it's hard to catch some without burning our paws - so I left, naturally."

Then, feeling a dormant feeling of curiousity, Salki added, "Your family is no longer the Royal line in charge of the Pridelands... this is one of the first times this has happened... - for bloodlines to change I mean. Aren't you... slightly upset?"

Salki glanced up momentarily and batted the butterfly lightly so the stirring air made it flutter onto Kiara's nose.

[Kiara]

Picturing a close possible image to her description mentally, her features distorted into a thinking, yet confused expression. "Yeah..? No wonder, everyone must have been starving there, while the ones over here were just fine.. Sounds like the 'it' place to be." She rolled her eyes at her sarcasm. "I knew it was bad, but I had no idea it was that bad.."

Thinking alittle more on this, how much they had to suffer, and others had absolutely nothing to worry about, it made her slightly angry, which showed barely in her tone of voice. "But you know..." She began calmly after a sigh. "I bet if someone would just work on fixing it up abit, I think some will be able to live there again. It would take alot of time, but....." She slightly shrugged. "But, that's just me."

Kiara blinked at her next question. Without much thought and hesitation, she shook her head. "Upset? Um...No, I guess not. It does feel kind of weird, ya know? Since all my life it's been this way. But, I don't mind. As long as everything's sane and under control, that's all that matters."

For just alittle while longer, Kiara looked back up to the large sized rock where she lived. Just by staring, it brought some more thoughts back into her head, some good, yet, some she wasn't too thrilled about as well. She tilted her head to the side abit before she shook it off and looked back. It wasn't until then, she realized she had started a conversation with the lioness, but never got a name.

"I'm so sorry, ma'am, whats your na-.." Her question was cut short by the buttering, taking its place on her nose. "Hey!" She spoke, the legs and wings flapping barely tickling her nose. She felt a funny feeling, as she started, or wanted to hold back a sneeze, which unfortunately, didn't work out too good. Once she sneezed a light sneeze, the butterfly took off into the air again. Though, afterward, she was able to hold back a giggle... Well, most of it. "Excuse me." She slightly mumbled out, bringing her paw up to her mouth.

Salki ducked gingerly to avoid the falling insect, a very small smile on her muzzle.

"It's not that bad. The lions can move to the Pridelands - they just have a clinging sense of duty." That gets them killed Salki silently added.

Then she lowered and picked up the slightly injured butterfly and throwing it into the air a few times until it flew, crooked, but fine.

"Poor butterfly, it probably gets tortured by lion cubs," Salki remarked as she followed it in circles, keeping her eyes on it like a watching mother hen, careful to blow air under it when it fell.

K'tusha wandered around, looking for something interesting to do with her day. She had just watched the sunrise, like she does every morning, and was completely bored.

She had been wandering around for probably about half an hour before Salki and Kiara appeared before her. K'tusha hopped to where they stood and asked, completely oblivious to the serious conversation that just took place, "lovely sunrise this morning, wasn't it?" in a smooth soft tone. then before anyone could answer she added while pointing to a hill in the far distance. "there is a great view of the sunrise from the top of that hill"

[Kiara]

The lion nodded in agreement. "I would hope so...those poor lions." She shook her head, just thinking about it made her slightly upset. It was just like her, caring for those who didn't have as much as others. She inhaled and exhaled sharply, her left ear twitching abit. It was a sudden feeling of irritation, maybe an annoying fly or something of that nature. She lifted her paw and swatted at her ear a few times.

Afterward, she brought it back down and looked to see if she got the problem. It was a weird, bug with several legs, and though had a small, very tiny body, it look really creepy. Kiara's face distorted with disgust as she shook it off her paw, and onto the ground. "Ewww..." She whispered to herself.

She caught sight of the butterfly after she mentioned it. "Most likely. I remember I use to chase butterflies when I was younger. Who knows what the little ones do to them now." She stated as she laughed silently.

Maybe a moment after she stopped talking, another voice, not belonging to the one infront of her, was heard from her side. She blinked, and turned her head in that direction. Her vision was met with another, who was seemingly in a good mood that morning. "Uh, yes it i-.." Her reply was cut off by her next statement. She looked to where she was pointed, over the horizon. She blinked a few more times, before she looked back and tilted her head to the side abit. "It's rising already? Didn't realize it.." She somewhat shrugged, and smiled.

"Well, anyway. I'm Kiara. And who might you be?"

Salki was momentarily occupied with the thought-picture of a young Kiara stalking butterfles and she could feel herself comparing it to the though of another lion cub - herself - standing next to her sister under a tree for hours and hours, sometimes days, attempting to 'align their souls.'

She's missed out on that childhoos of fun and happiness that Kiara had becaue of her father's useless ambitions and nearly gotten killed by her own sister. If life was fairer she would have been born in teh Pridelands and living with lioness like Kiara. Thinking back deeper she searched her mind for emotion, something her mind often seemed to, no, definetly lacked; she found nothing.

So she had endured tradegy that could hardly be considered enduring. She had lost nothing really. Salki couidn't even remember crying tears, real true tears. There was a slight pang in her heart, but it was nothing, ignorable - like a fly.

A voice interrupted her though process and her head slowly turned and met the sight of a small kangaroo with a cordial demeanor. She watched Kiara attempt to speak and finally break out a kind introduction fitting of her background. Salki stared at the kangaroo, eyes soft and glassy with no feeling.

"And I am Salki," the lioness thought to add, "And, yes, there is a nice sunset though that hill is too far away. After all, we are in the middle of the Flower Meadows. It will be quite a walk to get to the closest hill."

K'tusha looked at Salki "that is true, it took me half an our to hop here at top speed" replied K'tusha. She then faced both of them"my name is K'tusha Kwayera you can call me K'tusha, nice to meet you"
then she looked at Kiara and said in her usual fast way "Kiara... where have i heard that name before... OH RIGHT! You are princess Kiara! Tell me can you see the sunset and sunrise well from your cave? It's so high up i would think you would! you would have made an amazing queen, but what can you do!"

[Kiara]

Smiling in the up most friendly way possible, Kiara bowed her head alittle. "It's a pleasure." It was also then, that she finally caught the other lion's name, Salki from what she heard.

She listened in abit, and couldn't help but chuckle at the kangaroo's jumpy like personality. "Um, Well...actually, we can see toward the horizon. Your right, - it is kinda tall." She took a glimpse toward the rock, then back. "It's...sorta-kinda hard to miss it."

Kiara's left ear twitched slightly. She figured at this point she was pretty well known, considering how she just now met this one, and yet she still knew at the least, her name. "Er...I mean, I don't know, really. But thanks for thinking that!" She smiled toward her once again. "It's much appreciated. Though, it's no big deal. I'm fine with how things are now."

Her smile faded into a smirk, but never completely left. Her being started to slightly sway in the light, cool breeze that was picking up, making the flowers sway as well.
