England. Scotland. Wales. Ireland. Together they make up Great Britain and comprise a powerful community of wizards and witches alike.
1977. A year when things were supposed to be simpler. Tom Marvolo Riddle is a name of the past and is now known by Lord Voldemort all over. However, his climb to power has yet to reach a peak and remains in the background. His followers are still few, but they are the most loyal and strongest of all magic kind. While he has yet to come out of his dark place and take over the world, his dark deeds are already on the move. A psychotic werewolf constantly hunts the night for a new victim. Spies exist within the most noble of political being and institutions, including the hallowed school of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Yes, Great Britain is in a state of turmoil, but the Ministry of Magic is working constantly to hide this fact and keep the peace for the public's sake. Millicent Bagnold, the Minister of Magic, is truly living up to her title and using her power to advance all of Great Britain.
While the four countries slowly turn to darker days, Hogwarts remains the same as it has for centuries. Four Houses. Classes. Balls. Food. Everything about Hogwarts is the same, yet new. However, the school is not safe from the dark weavings of Lord Voldemort. Even as the new year closes in, plans of destruction and evil are setting foot. Students are quickly learning the truth and choosing the side they firmly believe in, but they do this in secret, for one never knows when a good friend could turn out to be the enemy. As young minds, they are moldable and naive and can easily be swayed. Though out of the darkness, four sixth years shine forth through the darkness. Potter. Black. Lupin. Pettigrew. They have become the Marauders. These four students have defied all laws of magic and reason and have become something incredible, animagi, with the exception of Lupin (who just happens to be the lone werewolf of the school). They are constantly getting into adventures and troubles, but go forth with great poise and pride.
Now, at the turn of the New Year, what adventures will the Marauders face? What dark deeds will transpire in the school that might turn brother against brother, friend against friend, or lover against lover? With the outside world in hidden turmoil, what will happen to Hogwarts? Will Great Britain be forever cast into darkness, or will the power of good prevail? With a new twist around every corner, only the strong will survive and the uninformed left in the darkness.
That is the clue.
That is the light.
That...is Renevatio Imperium.
