Area Explanation [Extremely Optional]

Pride Rock



The entire movie begins with a sunrise and the herds of animals moving to Pride Rock. Then it shows the Pride Rock with Mufasa and Nala waching at the highest point. Rafiki then comes and solemly blesses the cub. All the animals bow down, thus beginning the story.

Flower Meadows

The basic area surrounding Pride Rock and the WaterHole. Kiara, walking through the meadows, finds Pumba and that other guy (lol). In the background, you can see the Sands.

WaterHole



Unfortunately, there isn't much about the WaterHole. It was mentioned once and seen for exactly five seconds. However, at least you know why we have it! In this pic, Nala struggles out of her mother's grasp to go to the WaterHole with Simba though they're really going to the Elephant GraveYard.

High Plains



There aren't any images I could fine of this place, but I DO have an explanation. Before the Hyenas approached the WildeBeast that would eventually kill Mufasa in a stampede, they were peacefully grazing. Then the Hyenas came and they ran down a huge hill that was much higher than the surrounding land and I was like "Where the hell did they come from?" A plateau was the best explanation.

The WildeBeast stampede down the plain and into the Gorge in this pic.

The Gorge



Taken from The Lion King [1] when the Hyenas chase the wildebeast into the gorge while Scar tricks Simba into waiting there. Scar then calls Mufasa, telling him that the wildebeast are stampeding in the Gorge and that Simba, Mufasa's son, is there. Mufasa runs to the Gorge and manages to save Simba, but gets trapped in the stampede. He finally manages to leap and reach the edge of the cliff. Hanging on, he calls for Scar to help him, but Scar sinks his claws in Mufasa's paws before whispering his famous line:

"Long live the king."

He then throws Mufasa off the cliff and into the stampede, killing him and gaining the throne.

Border

Common sense told me.

ShadowRock



A epic place. That PrideRock look alike where Scar entered and it was full of geysers and hyenas? Yeah. He even sings his full song "Be Prepared" in it. Unfortunetly, I'm not too much of a scar fan (except his overdone sarcasm is epic).

The Elephant Graveyard



A lion king fan who has NOT heard of this deserves to be shot. Twice. This is where Simba sneaks to with Nala, purposfully nudged by Scar to get killed. That elephant is hawt.

Dead Lands

I'm too lazy to find a pic, but it's just that dead looking landscape surrounding the general area of the Outlands.

Dirt Hollows

Same as above.

Dark Crevice

I'm reduced to fanart from lack of screenshots...



From logic and fact, this was created. When Nuka died in Simba's Pride [2], I was like where the heck is that? So I decided that it was something that branched off from The Gorge. This would also explain how Zira's forces sneaked into the PrideLands.

Border

Common sense told me.

Did anybody notice how Zira's forces crosed the border by swimming? Yeah.

ThronLands

When Simba escaped from the hyena brothers, he ran through a thorn plain the hyenas couldn't get through.

The Sands

Then he escaped into the desert.

Salt Plains

And was found by Pumba and that other meerkay trudging in a plain similiar to the salt plain in africa.

Hakuna Matata

Obvious.
